The powers that be, after enticing us with short-form ideas, made a change to the program two days ago that strips away the money (pennies) some of us were making on these posts. They began truncating at around 30ish words, all posts under 150 words, and adding the “Read more” link.
We have the option to avoid the truncation by opting out of the payment plan entirely. So what you see here at the moment is a mish-mash of stories written before the change, stories in their entirety that are not behind the paywall, and the truncated ones where the writer is hoping you will still click the magic button so they get paid.
Two days ago, the properly formatted stories of 150 words or less flowed down this page seamlessly, allowing the reader to skip the clicking and simply enjoy some interesting short reads.
